Enterprise & Supplier Development Implementation Framework

Over the years, many companies have implemented supplier development (SD) programs that focus on increased use and development of small and black owned suppliers. These companies have experienced varying degrees of success depending on the strength of their SD concepts and strategies that are linked or embedded into their procurement processes, business practices, and company values.
Many companies believe there is a strong business case for supplier inclusion and sustainable development, the SASDC would like to share a Supplier Development Implementation Framework and Process to enhance the ability of existing SD initiatives to drive capacity and value for company and black suppliers. This training programme will be delivered on-line via the SASDC Supplier Diversity Academy Zoom facility in 3 sessions of 2 hours 30 minutes each on the following dates and the programme will cover the following:
- Understanding the basics of Supplier Development – Exploring Definitions, Supply Chain Context and Relevance, Business case
- A Systematic Approach to Supplier Development – the process philosophy
- Securing support and the right buy-in
- Identifying and qualifying procurement opportunities and matching new or existing suppliers to the right opportunity
- Developing strategies and plans for supporting the suppliers’ road maps for success and driving effective implementation
- Pulling it together – tools and guidelines
